How Did I Lose 100 Pounds?
Growing-up I was always overweight and by the time I hit my teenage years I became severely obese. My body was not feeling, looking, or moving well at all. To make a long story short I started eating healthier and exercising and lost over 100 pounds.
The problem was after I lost the weight it was so hard to keep it off. Then a friend introduced me to resistance training (lifting weights using rubber bands, machines, free weights, bodyweight, etc.). This resistance training helped me to tone my muscles and the muscles burned more calories 24/7 so I did not have to be so strict on my diet.
Yes I did lose the weight with diet and exercise, but I did not learn until later that I wasted a lot of time doing the wrong types of exercise and I was not eating enough to help my body function at its best. It took me over a year and a half to lose the 100 pounds, but it should have taken me a lot less time.
Later on after I started my Personal Training business I was able to help one of my clients Kenny lose over 60 pounds in less than half the time it took me to lose my first 60. I have repeated this many times over and over again throughout the years with many clients looking for the safest and fastest way to lose body fat.
How do we get into great shape and get ourselves feeling, looking, and moving better through life?
